Coessens
The Coessens family owns the entire Largillier vineyard, located in the Côtes des Bar (the largely maligned and forgotten region in south eastern Champagne), and dedicate their production entirely to Pinot Noir. The 35 year old vines are planted in clay-calcerous soils and with southern slope exposure. Their wines are whole cluster pressed and fermented in steel tanks. It sees extended lees aging and very low dosage.
These wines are real grower wines with the purity of fruit like Cedric Bouchard and a lot of extract and weight with no obvious oak influence.
